This year at Tatnall, it was no secret, the holiday spirit was in full swing across campus. The Tatnall community truly embodied the holiday spirit from our Holiday Lights event to Early Childhood's Tree Trim (and many other wonderful traditions across campus).
One of our most notable and growing traditions stemmed from Tatnall Alum D.J. Alexis '20. When D.J. was just 9 years old, he started a toy drive in honor of his late brother, Emanuel, who passed at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital back in 2006. D.J. strives to bring smiles and memories to hundreds of children and their families. At the same time, they, unfortunately, spend their holiday season at the hospital with Emmanuel's Annual Toy Drive and the Emmanuel Libraries. Over the past decade, D.J. has donated more than 1,000 gifts.
With the support of classmates, friends, and families both within Tatnall and beyond, D.J. donated hundreds of gifts, including toys, books to restock the EATD library, and holiday treats to honor the healthcare heroes that serve at the hospital. Additionally, he presented the hospital with a check for $1,000 to their Pediatric Unit
We are incredibly proud of D.J. and look forward to continuing to support him in all his future endeavors!Read more on the local news coverage: Click Here
