Tatnall Athletes of the Week - Omari Banks '21 and Kimmi Woods '20

Omari Banks '21 - Boys Basketball
Omari Banks '21, one of the captains of the boys' varsity basketball team, has saved his best game for the most important moments of the season. Picking up his play on both ends of the court when the team needed it the most, Banks has not only improved statistically across the board but from a leadership and chemistry standpoint as well. He poured in a game-high twenty four points against St. Andrew's and followed it up with a superlative and complete performance in a 52-48 win over conference foe Tower Hill at home. Banks tied for a team high twelve points, boarded like a fiend for a season-high twelve rebounds and dished out five assists. In the final game of the regular season, Banks stepped up once again, leading the Hornets to a gutty 53-50 win over Dickinson with fifteen points and five rebounds. He hit big free throws down the stretch and played strong defense throughout.
Kimmi Woods '20 - Winter Track
Captain Kimmi Woods '20 has been an outstanding sprinter for the Tatnall Track and Field team for the past four years. Her contributions to the team as one of Delaware's top athletes are only overshadowed by her contributions to the team as a leader and Captain. This past Friday at the famed New York City Armory, Kimmi raced her most exceptional 400 meters of her life on an indoor track, clocking 58.92 seconds! Kimmi's time is the fastest indoor senior 400 meters in Tatnall School history!
