Dover Delaware, 1776

The sixth grade traveled back in time to Dover, DE in 1776, where they were officially sworn into the Delaware State Assembly. Important decisions had to be made, such as whether Delaware would declare its independence from Pennsylvania and Great Britain. The rest is history, and the rest of the annual sixth grade trip to Lewes, Dover, and Cape Henlopen included a fun boat ride on the Delaware Bay, a science marsh walk at Cape Henlopen State Park, and bonding with friends.
