Middle School Students Participate in Exclusive Juried Exhibition

Four Middle School students participated in an exclusive juried exhibit offered to National Art Honors Society (NAHS) and National Junior Arts Honors Society (NJAHS) students. Congratulations to Avery Brumfield '23, Carina Ferretti '23, Kate McConnel '23, and Katie Yu '24 their submissions. The National Art Educators Association (NAEA) received 980 submissions from NAHS and NJAHS members, and 63 works were selected for exhibition in the NAEA Gallery & Studio; an additional 74 works were chosen for inclusion in NAEA Virtual Gallery.
Representatives from eight member schools of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD) participated as jurors: Laguna College of Art + Design; Parsons School of Design, School of the Art Institute of Chicago; Minneapolis College of Art And Design; Maryland Institute College of Art; Lesley University; Emily Carr University of Art and Design; and Tufts University.
Kate McConnel '23 was one of the 74 students whose artwork was selected for recognition on the NAEA Virtual Gallery for her piece titled 'A Girl's Best Friend.' Congratulations Kate!
2019 NAHS/NJAHS Juried Exhibition
Congratulations to the 63 student artists with work juried into the 2019 NAHS/NJAHS Juried Exhibition! The exhibit is on display at the NAEA Studio & Gallery in Alexandria, VA, through April 12, 2019. An additional 74 student artworks were selected for recognition and can be viewed in the NAEA Virtual Gallery.
