Head of School Search

RG175 will be led in this process by Hamilton Clark and Tony Featherston, two distinguished educators with decades of experience in school leadership and search work. Ham Clark brings an extraordinary breadth of work, having led schools in the U.S. and abroad, and is renowned for his transformational leadership in education. Notably, he served as Head of School at Episcopal Academy for 11 years, where he successfully raised $100 million dollars to transform the school and relocate to their spectacular new campus. Tony Featherston, a longtime school head and faculty member at the NAIS Diversity Leadership Institute, brings a passion for cultivating inclusive school cultures and empowering strong, visionary leaders.

To guide this important endeavor, the Board has also established a Head of School Search Committee, which will be chaired by trustees Bonnie Wu '95 and Jonathan Silver '06. Bonnie currently serves as the Vice President of the Board and helped lead the Search Committee in 2019-20 that welcomed Andy Martire to Tatnall. Jonathan joined the Board in 2023 and currently leads both the Buildings & Grounds Committee and the Campus Master Plan Committee. You can read more about Bonnie and Jonathan in their bios below, and we are grateful to have such experienced and passionate members of the Tatnall community at the helm of this important search process.

Bonnie and Jonathan are excited to welcome a dynamic group of Tatnall community members to join them on the Search Committee. These individuals are unified in their desire to find the next great Head of School to lead Tatnall through its Centennial in 2030 and beyond, and represent our faculty, trustees, current and former parents, and alumni. The committee members are listed below.  You can read more about each member by clicking on the + by their name.

Throughout this process, there will be additional opportunities for the broader community to engage in this process. In the next week, RG175 will engage their impressive network of more than 10,000 school professionals to announce our Head of School position.
