Celebrating the Inaugural Year of J-Term
Tatnall’s first-ever J-Term was a resounding success, offering students an inspiring mix of discovery, creativity, and connection. Two standout travel experiences defined the week: Pura Vida, a weeklong exploration of Costa Rica’s rich biodiversity and culture, and Winter Wonderland, a two-night skiing adventure at Camelback Resort that built confidence and camaraderie on the slopes.
On-campus courses also brought learning to life through day trips and hands-on experiences. Students cooked alongside local chefs at a kitchen collective founded by alum Lisa Bixby, explored space at the Franklin Institute, and partnered with Wilmington organizations through Community-Based Service Learning.
Creativity flourished across campus as well. One group reimagined the show Taskmaster with original challenges, another produced and marketed their own movie trailer, and a writing class crafted one-act plays that showcased the power of storytelling.
Bringing together students and faculty from across grade levels, J-Term highlighted Tatnall’s spirit of curiosity, collaboration, and exploration!
