Extended Day
Our Extended Day staff provides a warm and relaxed environment at each location: The Myers Building (Early Childhood), The Sedgely Building (Lower & Middle School).
Whether you’re looking for supervised care after school or an extra opportunity for your child to have fun, get help with homework, or participate in enrichment programs, Extended Day is a wonderful resource for Tatnall families. Extended Day is open from dismissal until 6pm. The Extended Day program also offers "school's out days" to provide care for families on half-days and days that school is closed.
When paired with A Tatnall Summer, Extended Day provides a seamless year of care and programming with the people and approaches you trust.

Extended Day at the Lower School is more than just after care. Extended day students do routinely have homework time, free choice play, and outdoor exploration. However, in addition to their daily routine, students have the opportunity to engage in enriching opportunities and fun activities such as art, music, baking, cultural club, seasonal celebrations, and special guests like pet therapy and more! Ongoing collaboration with Lower School teachers helps ensure that we provide continuity of support to students in a caring and relaxed environment.
Since Middle School student's schedules change so often, students may enroll in our monthly plans or a daily drop-in plan. Middle School students can also join extended day after sports have ended. Middle Schoolers are offered opportunities for personal choice during their afternoon. They can choose outdoor play, time to complete homework, or socializing with friends.
