Tatnall Lacrosse Camp 

Learn to love the fast and fun game of girl's lacrosse! This week-long Hornet Girl's Lacrosse camp will offer skill introduction and development, situational games and competitons for girls entering K through 8th grade. Led by Tatnall Head Coach, Ruth Hiller, we will focus on developing fundamental skills for those new to the sport as well as those looking forward to middle school. Players will need a lacrosse stick, goggles, a mouth guard, and sneakers or turf shoes. For those that don't have a lacrosse stick or goggles, ones will be provided. Hornet Co-ed Flag Football 

Join Tatnall Football Head Coach Brendon Ireton for the Hornet Co-Ed Flag Football Camp, open to boys and girls entering grades 3–8. This fun and energetic camp is designed to teach players the fundamentals of flag football in a positive and encouraging environment. Campers will learn key skills such as passing, catching, route running, teamwork, and game strategy through a mix of drills and friendly scrimmages. Throughout the week, campers will sample field hockey, lacrosse, basketball and volleyball, soccer, and softball while learning fundamental skills, teamwork, and the joy of staying active. Soccer Shots (Half Day morning)

Soccer Shots is a national leader in youth soccer development.  Our nationally recognized program offers a high energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer.  Our innovative curriculum emphasizes both soccer skills and character development.  Campers will enjoy exclusive Soccer Shots' games and be challenged throughout the week to improve their basic soccer skills. 

Dress: Comfortable/athletic clothing.  We recommend that all children wear shin guards, as they will be doing more scrimmaging than during a regular Soccer Shots' session.  Cleats are optional, but sneakers are a must in case we play in the gym.

Equipment: We will provide all the soccer balls, cones and goals.  Personal soccer balls are best left at home.

Hornet Co-ed Basketball Camp 

Tatnall's very own co-ed basketball camp run by Boys Varsity Head Coach Mardy Collins and Girls Varsity Head Coach, Jack Cella. Camp activities include learning the fundamental skills of basketball, fun team building activities, 5-v-5 games, foul shooting competitions, 3-point competitions and more! Bring your bathing suit and towel because after working on the court you can cool off in Tatnall's outdoor pool. Campers will need to bring a bag lunch every day (we will break for lunch everyday at noon). We will also have a snack stand available with various snacks such a Gatorade, water, candy, chips, soft pretzels, etc. Drop off will begin at 9 a.m. and pick up will begin at 3:15 p.m. Campers will need to be signed in and out by a parent or guardian. The Field Hockey Preseason Prep Camp is designed to help athletes enter the season confident, conditioned, and game-ready. This structured preseason program focuses on sharpening technical skills, improving field fitness, and developing the game understanding needed to perform at a high level from day one. Chess Masters of Delaware 

Learn chess with the Chess Masters of Delaware team! Advance your current skills or learn the fundamental strategies of chess and how to apply them consistently throughout the game. Campers will learn to play chess and develop strong critical thinking skills.

Players will be taught on three levels. Beginners will learn the rules and moves to become a competent player. Hotwheels, Legos, and More 

In this high-energy, hands-on camp, kids become designers, engineers, and stunt coordinators all at once! Campers will dream up and build their own Hot Wheels tracks with loops, jumps, sharp turns, and (yes) a few spectacular wipeouts. They’ll use iPads to capture their best stunts in slow motion, then tweak their designs to go higher, faster, and farther. To level up the challenge, campers can add LEGO creations that interact with their tracks—tunnels to race through, towers to crash into, “bowling pin” columns to knock down, or anything else their imaginations can build. Kids can stick with Hot Wheels, switch over to free LEGO building, or mix both throughout the morning, making this a true “choose your own adventure” experience.

We’ll balance all that indoor building and racing with recess breaks and, when weather and pool schedules cooperate, occasional trips to the pool for some splash time and fun in the sun. Bring a snack, swimsuit, and a towel.

Digital Fabrication for Beginners (3D Printing, Laser Cutting and more) 

In this creative tech camp, kids get a hands-on introduction to the world of digital fabrication. Using beginner-friendly design tools like Tinkercad, MakerLab, and Canva, campers will design their own projects—think custom name tags, lightboxes, or even a colorful vase created in a vase-designing app. We’ll bring their ideas to life on our 3D printers, and also explore a library of fun pre-designed models they can choose to print (time-permitting, based on the other projects). Beyond 3D printing, campers will have the chance to experiment with our laser cutter. They might etch their own drawings onto wood, create a personalized metal businesscard, or design the panels for a small wooden box they assemble themselves. Throughout the week, they’ll see how artists, engineers, and inventors use these same tools in the real world, while getting plenty of time to play, tinker, and customize.

We’ll balance screen and maker time with recess and outdoor play. Depending on the overall camp schedule, weather, and pool availability, there may also be opportunities for supervised swim time during the week. Bring a snack, swimsuit, and a towel.

Beyond The Game: Elite PT Sports Medicine Experience

Open to high school and undergraduate students, this interactive enrichment camp is a hands-on introduction to the world of sports medicine. Led by Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers from Elite PT, students will learn foundational skills in physical therapy and athletic training, such as injury assessment and treatment, prevention and recovery modalities, first aid and emergency management, as well as job opportunities within each field.

AI Scholars: An Interdisciplinary Artificial Intelligence Project-Building Program for High Schoolers

What do self-driving cars, Alexa, and iPhone's face recognition technology have in common? They are driven by modern advances in artificial intelligence. Whether you’re interested in law, healthcare, art, or economics, AI is poised to transform every discipline and industry in the future. AI is already all around us today, and by the end of the program, students will understand the underlying concepts and motivations behind technology such as computer vision, neural networks, and natural language processing. 

In this course, we will explore the foundations of machine learning and explore different applications of machine learning models. In the first half of the course, students learn AI’s core technologies including applications, foundational concepts, and programming tools through live lectures and coding labs. Students will not only learn about different types of machine learning models, but also apply those models to real data sets. In the second half of the course, students will complete an instructor-led group project applying AI to the discipline of their choice (e.g., music, healthcare, astrophysics, finance, etc.), utilizing the programming skills they developed in the first half. Please note that this is a two week camp!

Robotics & Drones

In this action-packed camp, kids start on the ground and end up in the sky! Campers will dive into LEGO robotics, designing and building their own creations using the Spike LEGO system. They might build a rover that can navigate obstacles, test challenges on our FIRST LEGO League tables, or follow step-by-step builds in the Spike app before customizing them with their own twists. Along the way, they’ll learn how to code motors and sensors to bring their robots to life. As the week goes on, we’ll shift from robots on wheels to drones in the air. Scratch + OctoStudio Game Lab (with AI + Creative Controllers)

In this summer camp, students will explore beginner-friendly coding by designing games and interactive projects using OctoStudio and Scratch. We’ll start with OctoStudio for quick, creative game-building, then expand into Scratch for more choices and customization as students gain confidence. Along the way, campers can experiment with interactive features that make projects respond to the real world—like face sensing and hand sensing. Chess Masters of Delaware (Full Day)

Players will be taught on three levels. Beginners will learn the rules and moves to become a competent player. Novices learn the techniques of developing your pieces, controlling the center, creating weaknesses, storming the enemy king’s position, and analyzing tactical positions. Intermediate players learn different openings, study critical endgames, analyze complex middle-game positions, expand your repertoire of attacking positions, and utilize online instructional support. All children should pack a healthy lunch and bring a snack!

Hotwheels, Legos, and More 

In this high-energy, hands-on camp, kids become designers, engineers, and stunt coordinators all at once! Campers will dream up and build their own Hot Wheels tracks with loops, jumps, sharp turns, and (yes) a few spectacular wipeouts. They’ll use iPads to capture their best stunts in slow motion, then tweak their designs to go higher, faster, and farther. To level up the challenge, campers can add LEGO creations that interact with their tracks—tunnels to race through, towers to crash into, “bowling pin” columns to knock down, or anything else their imaginations can build. Kids can stick with Hot Wheels, switch over to free LEGO building, or mix both throughout the morning, making this a true “choose your own adventure” experience.

We’ll balance all that indoor building and racing with recess breaks and, when weather and pool schedules cooperate, occasional trips to the pool for some splash time and fun in the sun. Bring a snack, swimsuit, and a towel.

Creative Tech Studio

Creative Tech Studio is an open-ended maker camp for kids who love creating with technology. Campers will learn entry-level video editing in iMovie, experiment with green screen “movie magic,” and build simple interactive games and animations using kid-friendly tools like OctoStudio and Scratch. We’ll also get hands-on with invention by building custom game controllers using Makey Makey and everyday materials—turning cardboard, foil, and more into real, playable inputs.
Each day blends creativity and problem-solving: plan an idea, build it, test it, and improve it. Students will leave with new skills and confidence as digital creators.

Bonus for Hot Wheels campers: Students enrolled in the AM Hot Wheels session can use their own track footage to edit and produce “car stunt” highlight videos in Creative Tech Studio.
