UD Early College Credit Program

The University of Delaware offers academically qualified high school juniors and seniors from select Delaware schools the opportunity to enroll in a variety of introductory courses across the arts, social sciences, and sciences at no cost to the student or participating schools. Students can earn both high school and college credits simultaneously for successful completion of these courses. Students who eventually apply and matriculate to the University of Delaware will automatically receive those credits toward their graduation. Students who decide to pursue their education at other colleges and universities can apply to have those credits transfer, though that is at the discretion of the other institutions. In both cases, this is a chance to decrease the coursework required to complete a student's college education.

Courses are taught asynchronously online to both participating high school students and current UD undergraduates. Students access coursework via Canvas, a student management platform similar to MyTatnall. While assignments and assessments will have definite deadlines, coursework can be accessed and completed on the student's schedule prior to the due date, which allows some flexibility for students to work at their convenience.
