Tatnall Sophomore Maria D. Recognized as Finalist in 2025 Congressional Art Competition

Tatnall School is proud to celebrate sophomore Maria D., who was recently named one of only 12 finalists in the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. Her captivating artwork, Lemons Adrift, earned this prestigious recognition and was featured at the Bridge Art Gallery as part of the finalist exhibition.

During the Art Competition Reception at the gallery, Maria had the remarkable opportunity to speak with Congresswoman Sarah McBride about her inspiration, process, and the message behind her piece. Their conversation underscored the value of student voice and creativity in the broader cultural landscape.

In addition to this honor, Lemons Adrift was also awarded a Gold Key in the Scholastic Art Awards.

We are incredibly proud of Maria for her artistic talent, thoughtful expression, and the recognition she has earned.
