In keeping with Tatnall's commitment to a balanced education, Upper School students are expected to participate in the arts. In fact, many students choose to explore the arts well beyond the requirement, and Tatnall students have gone on to study music, theater and art at the university level.
Requirements
Three arts credits are required to graduate for students entering the Upper School in the 2012-2013 school year after completion of Freshman Seminar. The credits may be distributed among visual arts, music and theater courses.
Two arts credits are required to graduate for students who entered the Upper School before the 2012-2013 school year. The credits may be distributed as two credits of studio art (beyond Freshman Seminar), or one credit of Studio Art and one credit of Performing Arts.
