Clubs & Organizations

No matter your interest, Tatnall offers you a way to explore it.

The Middle School and Upper School support several clubs that provide students an opportunity for activities beyond the classroom that are both fun and meaningful. The school encourages new clubs for those with special interests. Every club has a faculty sponsor.

Bring a latch hook tool if you have one.

Book Club
We will be reading Found, book 1 of the series The Missing, by Margaret Peterson Haddix. Found, Sent, and Sabotaged are suspenseful science fiction titles for early middle school readers.  After we have read and discussed Found, students will be able to collaboratively create and record an advertisement or movie trailer using a small digital camera.

Exploring Comedy with The Three Stooges
Did you ever wonder why you laugh at slapstick comedy? Why do we laugh at America’s Funniest Video’s when someone is actually getting hurt? Why is this so funny? Well…. It all started with the Three Stooges in 1925. There are two distinct groups of people: Those that love the Three Stooges, and those that scratch their heads and wonder why. Join me as we watch the best of Moe, Larry, and Curly from 1937 – 1939 and ponder that question.  This club should be fun – yet thought provoking!

Origami Club
The crane has a long history in Japanese tradition, culture and legends.  The crane is recognized as a symbol of good fortune, health, and longevity because of its fabled lifespan of a thousand years. There is favorite story that says if you are not well and you fold a thousand cranes, the gods will grant you a wish and make you healthy again.  Throughout Asia, the crane is a symbol of peace, happiness and eternal youth.  The Japanese art of paper folding or origami is a perfect way to express the essence of the crane.  Join our club, make cranes, be happy, and help create peace here at Tatnall and in the world.
