Support Tatnall
Tuition and fees cover only a portion of the cost of educating a child at Tatnall. Maintaining quality faculty, state-of-the-art facilities and challenging educational opportunities requires ongoing fund-raising activities.
The Development Office oversees fund-raising efforts to benefit The Tatnall School. These include the Annual Fund, planned gifts, grants and major gifts. Alumni relations are also a priority of the office. Various other constituencies are supported, including the Home and School Association, Black and Gold and the Grandparents Association.
Annual Fund
The Annual Fund raises gifts in support of the Tatnall operating budget. Current and past parents, alumni, grandparents, trustees, faculty and friends of the school are solicited annually, requesting contributions to fund Tatnall’s financial priorities.
Alumni Relations
Alumni of The Tatnall School are an invaluable asset. The Alumni Office assists in advancing the well-being of Tatnall by engaging alumni in the life of the school. The office also creates opportunities for positive and mutually beneficial relationships among alumni.
Planned Gifts
The Development Office is prepared to assist those who are committed to The Tatnall School’s future through establishment of a planned gift or bequest. The Red Oak Legacy Society is a recognition vehicle for those who have made such arrangements.
Major Gifts
Donors may choose to create a gift to fund a specific item, such as a named scholarship or endowing a faculty chair. The school may also have needs which cannot be funded through the operating budget. Individuals and organizations are sought to provide funding for specific items which will further expand the quality of a Tatnall education. Occasionally these needs are of the magnitude that a special campaign is organized to assure the requirements of the school are met.
Grants
Foundations and corporate grants are available to fund both operational and capital projects for the school. Linking the needs of the school with potential funding sources and preparing requests provides an additional source of revenue for the school.
Organizational Support
Several groups that enhance the success of Tatnall are supported by the Development Office. The Home and School Association, Black and Gold, the Grandparents Association and various special events provide unique benefits that advance the educational, athletic and arts programs at Tatnall.
