The Shea Fitness Center, also known by our athletes as “The Tank,” is a state-of-the-art, spacious facility that boasts a complete array of cardiovascular fitness and strength machines, free weights, core strengthening and power lifting equipment.  

Named for former Board of Trustees President Thomas Shea, Jr., the facility features six treadmills, five stationary bikes and four elliptical machines. In addition, there is a complete circuit of “Hammer Strength” machines, including a universal circuit.  

For power and explosive lifting, the Shea Fitness Center hs four squat and bench press racks, a smith machine, leg press, specialized plyometric and agility equipment and two Olympic lifting platforms. The facility includes a complete set of dumbbells from 2.5 to 100 lbs, physioballs and medicine balls and a variety of resistance bands.  

Overall, the facility is generously equipped for a full range of fitness needs, from training elite athletes to general fitness to injury rehabilitation.
