Theater

Tatnall's theater program has been recognized as one of the best in the region. Performance is about more than just receiving accolades from enthusiastic audiences. Participation in theater productions, be they large or small, teaches students of all ages to become comfortable appearing in front of people. As with music and art, theater experiences begin early with Preschool and Lower School productions, and continue to develop in complexity through Middle School and Upper School.

In Upper School, Tatnall's renowned Showcase production has delighted and impressed audiences for more than 40 years with its quality performances. Staged each February, Showcase involves students in every aspect of theater production, from set design to public relations. Students audition almost a year before the first curtain, and those who are chosen become members of The Showcase Players theater company. These players devote over 150 hours of work to the production and earn credit toward graduation.
