Affording a Tatnall Education

Tuition covers a large portion of the costs associated with educating your child at Tatnall, but it does not cover all of them. Annual giving, foundation gifts and endowment income cover the rest. Tuitions for the upcoming school year are set by the Board of Trustees at their January meeting. Few investments are as important as the one you choose to make in your child’s education.

Payment Plans

Tatnall offers several payment plan options to provide families flexibility in determining the payment option that best meets their needs. Payment plans are managed by Tatnall or by Tuition Management Systems (TMS). Tatnall requires a non-refundable Enrollment Deposit of 10% of Net Tuition with the return of a signed Enrollment Contract. The Enrollment Deposit is credited to the Net Tuition.

  • One Installment Plan: 100% due on or before August 1.
  • Two Installments Plan: 60% due on or before August 1; 40% due on or before December 1. A tuition deferral fee (1.5% per month) will be applied to the outstanding balance beginning August 1.
  • Ten Installments Plan: Tuition Management Systems (TMS): Pay in ten installment payments starting May 1 with the final installment due on February 1. To learn more about TMS, go to Afford. TMS charges an Enrollment Fee of $60, but there are no interest charges.

Need-Based Financial Aid

Tatnall awards financial aid to make the school accessible to as many enrolled and admitted students as possible, regardless of their families’ ability to pay the full tuition. Financial aid awards are based on demonstrated financial need as determined by School and Student Services (SSS) and Tatnall’s Financial Aid Committee. Tatnall does not award merit scholarships.
